The Death of Time

by Tom Kenny (@tkenny)

The HTML5 <time> element is no more (along with the pubdate attribute) and has been replaced by <data>. I don’t think there is anyone who thinks this is a good idea, especially as it has been out in the wild for a good while now. Gone is the ability for machine readable dates and times as nothing will now follow a common standard. Madness.
